The Plot As It Can Be Understood[]
The Beginning[]
One year before Negi's appearance, Hasegawa Chisame is assigned to be roomates with Hakase Satomi.
The Arrival and Divergence[]
Negi Arrives in Mahora. Hilarity Ensues. Meanwhile, genius student Chao Lingshen watches over Negi with complex designs in mind.
These Wild And Wacky Characters[]
Negi begins meeting other strange people, such as Itoshiki Nozomu. Chisame and Hakase learns Negi's secret life as a mage.
The Evangeline Arc[]
After a mysterious vampire attacks Kasuga Misora, Negi and Misora contact ghost student Aisaka Sayo in their search for the culprit. Later, Evangeline A.K. Mc Dowell shows up in Miyazaki Nodoka and Ayase Yue's dorm room, challenging Negi to battle. Negi survives their first encounter when Hakase takes control over Evangeline's robot servant Karakuri Chachamaru, turning her against her master. However, when Chachamaru gains free will from Chao, she goes back to Evangeline. Negi, Chisame, Hakase, Misora, Kakizaki Misa and Itoshiki finally defeat Evangeline and Chachamaru at the Mahora Suspension Bridge.
